Classified Disk Replacement

Under the Classified Data scheme and in the event of a Hard Disc Drive failure Tough Corp will provide a replacement disk drive to the participating customer if the customer complies with all terms and conditions of the Manufactures Warranty Policy.

Tough Corp recognizes that a faulty hard drive that contains classified data cannot be returned to Tough Corp but rather must be destroyed by the government Agency.

This results in the classified customer being unable to return the failed disk drive or receive a replacement disk drive under either the standard warranty or extended warranty period.

Under the Classified Data scheme and in the event of a Hard Disc Drive failure Tough Corp will provide a replacement disk drive to the participating customer if the customer complies with all terms and conditions of the Manufactures Warranty Policy and provides the following information:

  • Company Information
  • Full description of the fault
  • Full description of the steps taken to reject the failed disk drive(s)
  • The parent device serial number
  • Hard disk assembly serial number
  • A photocopy of the label from the failed raw disk drive showing its manufacturer’s part and serial numbers
  • A signed document stating that the faulty Hard Disc Drive has been destroyed
  • A digital photograph of the destroyed Hard Disc Drive showing the serial number of the device

If the participating customer does not conform with the terms of this policy they will be asked to provide a purchase order and will be charged for the replacement disk drive(s).
